Clos Montblanc
D.O CONCA DE BARBERÀ
Our wineries are located in Barberà de la Conca, in the midst of the landscape surrounding the Cistercian route, a region with thousands of years of tradition, where we can obtain wines with a unique character.
Geologically, it is also a very special location; it is a rich, balanced, calcareous terrain, full of nuances, offering optimum qualities for wine growing.
Our red wines are imbued with all the aroma of the ull de llebre variety local to the area, and of the foreign varieties, merlot and cabernet. The white wines are based on the smoothness of the macabeu grape, traditional to our region, combined with chardonnay and sauvignon blanc, which gives them a perfect balance. The rosé wines are made with trepat, an autochthonous grape, making them some of the freshest and most aromatic.
Our cellar, equipped with the latest technology, has a capacity of 3 million litres of wine and has 34 fermentation tanks (with capacities ranging from 30,000 to 750,000 litres), a pneumatic press for turning the grape into must, and two horizontal dams. It has over a thousand barrels from the best French and American oak forests.
